Oh! My moment.. I caught ya!!
“She said she usually cried not because
she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful & life was so short.”
Everybody in their lives has that one moment.. That I call
the “Anything can happen moment”.
Recently I was watching an interview on television where a
famous actor was talking about how he decided to become an actor. He said he doesn’t
know when exactly this small dream seeded itself in his heart but he knows
when he decided that he is going to nurture the seed. It happened one day when he
was walking down some street and he saw that the then Super Star of film
industry was leaving from the sets after his shooting for a film and the crowd
had gathered around to see him. There was fencing drawn to keep the public away
from the path of the star and everybody was leaning over the edge to get his
autograph or handshake.
Now this small kid with all “tall and gigantic” adults around him knew it was impossible for him to compete with them so he just got into the crowd pulled his tiny hand out as far as he could and closed his eyes. He opened his eyes startled when he realized someone was holding his hand..

It was the great star who chose to give him a gentle
handshake over every other person in the crowd.
The boy felt at that moment that “..In life just anything
can happen” and that is when he decided he’s going take his chance and follow
his dream.
I often used to wonder how a simple moment like this could inspire
him so much.
But now I know how
Now.
That I have had mine.
It was far less dramatic that this boy’s but more precious
to me than half the things in the world.
Insignificant it might seem but so powerful it is capable of
spreading peace inside me in ways that those moments of achievements and passions and great love could
not.
Mysterious is the nature of peace. Implausible is the nature
of happiness. Peace and happiness are unfathomable beings.
Happiness is a baffling emotion. If it doesn’t want to be
yours then all the riches and all the possessions and all the love in the world
won’t give it you. And if it wants to be yours then maybe a simple cup of tea
in a cold day will make it yours.
That day when I first took my scooter and rode all the way
to my university 25 kms away …it changed something for me.
I never really thought I would ever be able to drive all
that far all alone on a highway like that. Even though it didn’t seem like a
big achievement but it gave me the sense of independence I had never felt
before.
With my earphones plugged in and the view from road at the
lake side I sang the songs loudly even if other people passing from around me
thought I was a retard.
In that moment I felt free. Free from the burden of the
hurts. No I wasn’t hurting anymore. I felt strong, powerful and invincible. I felt
I could forgive anybody cheer up everybody help everyone and create everything.
"She had put despair and fear aside as if they were garments she did not choose to wear."
That moment was like meditation .It was as if no pain was
ever inflicted on me. As if I were just born again.
And no matter how short and fleeting that moment was. It continues
to inspire me even today. It flew away the second I realized and tried to hold
on it. But its fragrance lingers in each day I live.
It reminds me “My story is still unwritten. This moment..This
very moment no matter how much powerless it seems it is my becoming. It can change everything and right here "Just
anything can happen". All you need to do is quickly throw your hands out and
catch the moment.
Because such is life.
Such is this world.
And..
"Every passing moment is the chance to turn it all around"
superb....
