Coffee stains on forever

The loud noises coming from the kitchen woke him up with a jolt. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the alarm clock on the table. It was 8AM. Already. He was late. Yet hearing those two voices coming from the kitchen he dug his face back into the pillow and tried to cover his ears, as much as possible, so he could block them out totally. ‘When will all this end..all I want is to shut myself from this..’ he said to himself. Like every other morning. Even today they were fighting. Not a day passes when these two people who are the anchors of his life don’t fight like the bitter most enemies of the world. He finally gave up on his attempts to keep those voices from reaching him. Getting up from the bed he tried to listen to what was it about, today. He couldn't understand all that they were saying. All he could hear was the shouting, some broken sentences with angry words, the harsh tone and the rage in the voices of the two people. What is the damn topic? Oh! It is the coffee...

Oh love, Please do give up.

You never give up on people you love. So many people out there preach the idea saying “If he really loved you he wouldn't have left.  Or Don’t try to stop people from leaving because those who love you won’t ever leave." Do you believe this to be the truth? Well, my answer would be yes and no. Sometimes you must not give up on your people but there are times when you must. What about leaving a woman who is hurting you each day with her words? She loves you of course but everyday she is putting you down with her constant criticism no matter what you do how much you do.. how much you try your best or no matter how much you tell her she’s hurting you . What about that husband who never ever cares about you? Who is self centered and could never even see you in the relationship? What about that elder brother who raised all his younger siblings like a father. Yet when one of his brothers becomes alcoholic he supports the brother's family too and tries each day ...

"Siblings" The bond that we share with our siblings is perhaps one of our most special and confusing bonds. They are sometimes so similar to us that it is astonishing and sometimes so different it seems perplexing. Yet one of the most selfless form of love and companionship is shared between us and our siblings. They are a link to the past that will stay with us in the future no matter what. That is why they can read you like a book. They have seen you grow from what you used to be - change and become what you are today. And so they understand every bit of you like no one else. And everyday there are so many lessons we learn from our siblings. "Siblings are the people we practice on, the people who teach us about fairness and cooperation and kindness and caring, quite often the hard way...

Those pending "Thank yous'"

Most of the times in our life we are so absorbed with our everyday challenges, countdowns and deadlines we often overlook things that we should be grateful about. Right here. Right now. The uncertainty and precariousness of life is bewildering and overwhelming. We often come across teachers and writers who emphasize not only on the beauty of but also the need of being grateful towards the people and the situations that make our lives worth living. It may be our parents, spouse, friends who love us and support us unconditionally or God for everything we have and also for this day when we can think of being grateful towards anything. But there is more to the  “Thankyou ” list of life than this. There are a lot of people who touch our lives in ways that go completely unnoticed. Their effect may be direct or indirect. It may seem insignificant too.  Nonetheless, it definitely deserves to be mentioned. Here is my small personal ‘Thank-you’ list for p...

Oh! My moment.. I caught ya!!

“She said she usually cried not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful & life was so short.”   Life is a beautiful place to be. World is a magical place to be. With every passing day the world presents to us those small little miracles that go unnoticed when we forget where we exactly are at the moment.. Everybody in their lives has that one moment.. That I call the “Anything can happen moment” . Recently I was watching an interview on television where a famous actor was talking about how he decided to become an actor. He said he doesn’t know when exactly this small dream seeded itself in his heart but he knows when he decided that he is going to nurture the seed. It happened one day when he was walking down some street and he saw that the then Super Star of film industry was leaving from the sets after his shooting for a film and the crowd had gathered around to see him. There was fencing drawn to keep the public away from the path of the s...

Trembling Steps

"She isn't angry. She isn't hopeful. She is simply done. For tonight, she is done trying to pick up what cannot be saved " She felt so strong in that one moment. To help the ones in need is easy to pick up people who have fallen down doesn't take much courage. But to lift people up who have wronged you  is a rare strength to find. She has loved him so dearly. Even In her anger even  in her hurt she has loved him all the same. And again today she will put them down. Her pains her sorrows her anger her questions.. She will put them down to lift him up. She knows he has done her wrong. She knows she is broke inside. Shattered like glass pieces that she wouldn't dare to pick up she knows they'll hurt her again.. All the times he forgot to care. All the times he forgot to consider.. All the times he overlooked her sorrow.. She is ready to give up the pains of those times..and ready to forgive him..if this is what he really wants.. So she's asking...

Eat, Pray, Love!

P.S. Less of a review, more of a collection of  quotes                                           P.P.S  One of the most special books to me   This beautiful book written by Elizabeth Gilbert is her own story. It is divided in three sections where the she travels to three countries- Italy, India and Indonesia . In the third section “the love part” there were some points where I felt the urge to quit reading it because the third section is a little slow and first two sections had set the bar too high. My guess is this is why it is in the list of one of the most ‘unfinished books” in  goodreads . Yet I know that the overall experience with the book was life changing. I am going to list a long number of lines that really touched me and inspired me. I am greatly impressed with the way the book seems ...
